PEERS 2021: Pahul Singh

Dispatch #4, in conversation with the artist

In the run up to the showcase of work undertaken by artists-in-residence for the 2021 edition of Peers, we present a series of conversations.

Recorded in medias res over a zoom call, and briefly contextualised for the listener, these snippets offer a gentle glimpse into our exchanges through the course of residency and in prelude to the show, hoping to channel the intensive nature of our dialogue as well as its episodic drift.

In this episode, I, the critic-in-residence, am in conversation with Pahul Singh, who explores bookmaking through linguistic elements and traces. Her work can be found here, and followed over instagram.

Shivani Kasumra is the critic-in-residence for Peers 2021. She is an MPhil Student at School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Research Associate at the Museum of Art and Photography, Bangalore.
